Biography
Abbako Technical College in Port Loko, established 2001, is an accredited institution by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MEST), National Council for Technical Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) which is the third arm of the University of Sierra Leone.
The institution came into existence as a result of the immense rate of early school leavers in the community and beyond and therefore, became the first among indigenous institution set to train youths in Technical & Vocational Education. The college has trained and qualified lecturers in various fields. Abbako offers courses ranging from certificates, diploma, higher diploma in various technical and professional courses.
Available Facilities and Opportunities
Abbako Tech College Port Loko has three (3) buildings with six (6) lecture rooms and an administrative block hosting offices. A newly constructed hall now serves as a multipurpose in the community.
